Paulo Sérgio Beju was born in Monte, Funchal, in 1971, he completed his degree in Plastic Arts - Sculpture in 1999 and, four years later, he graduated in Art Direction.

He has been developing projects in dramatic performance, theater, set design, performance, plastic arts and curatorship.

Since September 2002, he has participated in individual and collective exhibitions. He also won many prizes in theater as a writer or as a director. He had won the 1st Prize of the Abrantes Poetry Competition (June 1996) and the 1st Prize of the Henrique and Francisco Franco Plastic Arts Competition (Calheta, December 2005).

He also illustrated the book "The Most Beautiful Things in the World" by Valter Hugo Mãe, released in September 2010.
